On behalf of the president of ICS Thailand Section, I’d like to invite you all to the 42nd ICS World Congress in the theme “Surgical Care for Aging Population Amidst Global Climate Change” to be held during 3-5 November 2020 at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Bangkok, Wireless Road, Thailand.

The theme of the 42nd ICS World Congress has three keywords: Surgical Care, Aging Population and Global Climate Change that to be challenged by various scientific sessions of greatest interest and international panels by distinguished speakers from around the world.

In addition, the Congress also has Special Lectures, Symposia, Oral presentations, Poster presentations and Exhibitions from various oversea companies to show the newest instruments and medical devices.

Bangkok in one of the best tourist destinations in the world as it’s well known joyful city all days and nights. The venue hotel is one of the best green hotel in Thailand located in the middle of Bangkok with so many large shopping malls around the hotel and various entertainment shows. We also have sightseeing program tours for your families around Bangkok, countryside provinces and many famous beaches in the east and south of Thailand, “The Land of Smile”.

Dear Colleagues,

I am Professor Emeritus, Dr. Supakorn Rojananin, MD, Deputy Dean of School of Medicine, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), Chiangrai, Thailand and former President of the ICS, Thailand section, is acting as president of organizing committee of the 42nd ICS World Congress 2020, which is going to be organized in November 3-5, 2020 at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Bangkok, Wireless Road, Thailand.

The Congress theme will focus on “Surgical Care for Aging Population amidst the Global Climate Change”

To cover most of the concerned surgical problems under the theme, variety of specialties are all involved.

As a consequence, we had invited several surgical associations, societies and groups to collaborate and jointly organize the congress, including;

  • IASGO (International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists, Thailand section)
  • Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Thailand
  • IOPBS (International Onco-plastic Breast Surgeons, Thailand section)
  • Society of Trauma
  • Society of Wound
  • Society of Endocrine
  • Society of Hernia
  • Society of Bariatrics

The program will include workshops, symposiums, keynote lecture, poster and free papers presentation that focus, but not limited to, on the topics as listing below; to fill with main topics

To highlight our conference, we had already invited some keynotes and world-renowned speakers to share their experiences, expertise and to inspire our attendees for enlightening the new initiatives of their interests.

To share our planning, we are eagerly listening for your recommendation and advice. We also ask our colleagues to propose the concerned topics and to suggest some prominent speakers of your choices for invitation as well.

We are calling for poster and free paper presentation in this conference. Reward will be given to the best presentation winner as observed and decided by our sub-committee.

As Bangkok is one of the world most attractive destination to visit during the peak season in November. Many special events highlight around in the land of Smile. You will also enjoy street foods, Thai cuisine, Thai culture, hospitality and beyond. Therefore, we would suggest our colleagues to mark a date on your note books and join us by having early registration.

For business aspect, we are looking for sponsorship to support our conference. We are most welcome and indebted for any private firms or organization who are showing their interest to support the congress. Exhibition and booth presentation as well as official recognition in media are reciprocated.

Cancellation and refund policies

Participants who are unable to attend the congress are requested to email to notify the secretariat office. For the notification before October 1, 2020, 70% of the registration fee will be refunded. The refunds requested after this date will not be possible. All refunds will be made one month after the congress.
